Here are some originals.
Rick grew up in the Straight Mountain community, just outside of Oneonta, Alabama and cut his musical teeth playing in church, a few high school garage bands, and a college ensemble. After school, he moved to Nashville, where he began working in nightclubs. Later, he was offered to play bass with Stonewall Jackson on the Grand Ole Opry. Rick spent the next 14 years on the Opry with Stonewall, doing radio, television and concert dates. During this time, he worked with a number of other well known artists; Stonewall Jackson, Little Jimmy Dickens, Chris Janson, Tyler Farr, Billy Droze, Jack Greene, Jeannie C. Riley, Bobby Bare, Jeannie Sealy, Jim Ed Brown, The Hager Twins, Ernie Ashworth, Jean Shepherd and many others.
After the Opry, Rick transitioned back to working in the Broadway district nightclubs in Nashville; Tootsie's, 2nd Fiddle, Legends Corner, Crossroads, The Stage and others. From there, Rick started doing a solo act for private parties, then transitioned again to become a DJ, performing for weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Proms, birthdays, etc. The DJ gig soon took on a life of its own, with Rick running a multi-DJ service, doing up to five events per day.
Never to sit still, when it was time to transform again, Rick moved home to Alabama and built a wedding venue, Ryan Acres, and hosts all kinds of events; weddings, birthdays, reunions, showers, etc. In addition to the wedding venue, Rick is once again offering live music entertainment as a single, duo or trio and with a wide variety of material. From Country to Rock to Pop and everything in between, Rick can fit just about any situation.
